Amazing Venom #1 Announced for... 2026? Boomerang Gets Solo Symbiote Series

Get ready for a wait, fans. Marvel Comics just announced Amazing Venom #1, but its September 2026 launch date is the real head-scratcher. This five-issue limited series puts the spotlight on an unexpected symbiote hero: Boomerang.
Fan-favorite villain-turned-vigilante Fred Myers, now called Comeback, suits up in his distinctive red-and-blue symbiote. Revealed in Web of Venom #1 and a player in Queen in Black, Comeback gets his first solo adventure. Writer Jordan Morris and artist Luke Ross, who introduced us to this new symbiote in Web of Venom, return.
The story sends Fred and his symbiote, Passenger, on a cosmic mission to Klyntar, the symbiote homeworld. It’s a mission far beyond Boomerang’s usual street-level chaos, promising to test his limits and reshape his understanding of what it means to be a symbiote host. Morris teases a "wild slurry of action, comedy, and maybe even a little character growth" for the charming scumbag.

Catzye Take
That 2026 date is certainly an eyebrow-raiser! It's rare for Marvel to announce a new series so far out. What's interesting here is Boomerang's continued evolution from a C-list villain into a legitimate anti-hero with his own symbiote. Fans should definitely keep an eye on how this long-term strategy plays out.
