Catzye Exclusive: Showrunner Teases Claudia's Explosive Return in Vampire Lestat Season 3!

Prepare yourselves, Anne Rice fans. Showrunner Rolin Jones just dropped a bombshell about The Vampire Lestat Season 3's upcoming Episode 6, "Montreal." It seems we're finally getting the Claudia moment we've been waiting for.

Jones didn't hold back, calling it "The best Claudia scene we ever wrote." That's a bold claim, especially considering Delainey Hayles' character turned to ash last season, albeit with a vow to return. Hayles has been playing Regina, a diner waitress Louis has an interest in. But the tease strongly hints at a proper comeback for the fan-favorite vampire.

Jones explained his decision to give Claudia and Louis (Jacob Anderson) expanded storylines, citing his admiration for the actors. "I loved these actors, and I did not feel we had done everything we could do with Delainey," he stated. This creative choice is a welcome change for viewers, giving beloved characters more room to shine than their literary counterparts at this stage.

Season 3 itself has taken a rock-and-roll turn, following Lestat on an electric tour as he grapples with muses from his past. His rising power coincides with the "Great Conversion," a surge in the vampire population. On the casting front, Sheila Atim joins the ensemble as Akasha, the very first vampire. Episode 6, directed by Jane Wu and written by Ryan Kattner and Kevin Hanna, is set to be a pivotal episode leading into next week's finale.
