Hold onto your visors, X-Men fans, because Cyclops is finally blasting his way into Marvel Rivals. The catch? You'll have to wait until June 12, 2026, for Season 8.5 to drop. Yes, that's a full two years from now! It's an incredibly long lead time for a character announcement, but the iconic X-Men leader, Scott Summers, is confirmed.Cyclops joins the roster as a Duelist, armed with his signature Optic Blasts. Expect head-on assaults and cunning ricochet shots that snipe foes from around corners. His kinetic recoil even allows for graceful battlefield movement. Unleash his Ultimate, and Scott removes all inhibitors for an apocalyptic blast. Fans have been clamoring for Cyclops since launch, and NetEase Games is certainly building long-term hype.Meanwhile, players won't be without content this summer. Marvel Rivals is launching its Summer Festival event after a June 18 update. This includes daily login rewards and up to 2,500 Units. Look forward to new Swimsuit Special costumes and a fresh social hub, Hellfire Bay Beach, where players can relax and snap photos.
