Deadpool and Punisher Collide in "Big Guns" Crossover Event

Marvel is unleashing a crossover event nobody saw coming: Deadpool and Punisher are colliding in "Big Guns." This four-part series kicks off in September, forcing the Merc with a Mouth and Frank Castle into a violent, chaotic partnership. Writer Benjamin Percy, known for his work on both characters, promises an explosive clash of their radically opposite personalities.
Percy teased "non-stop mayhem" and some genuinely wild additions. Fans can expect the "reinvention (and glow-up)" of a classic villain, the debut of the "Merc-mobile"—a rolling HQ for Wade Wilson—and a mysterious new weapon set to shake up the Marvel 616 universe. The saga ignites when one of Deadpool's signature messes puts him directly in Punisher's crosshairs. As Wade tackles a high-stakes job, Frank is dead set on settling a score, guaranteeing a relentless torrent of bullets, bloodshed, and pure chaos.
This event was a highlight of Marvel's recent 616 Day promotion. Marvel has really leaned into June 16 as a fan holiday, using it to drop big announcements like this unexpected team-up. Geoff Shaw and José Luis Soares Pintos handle art duties, promising big guns and even bigger action.
“When you're writing The Punisher, and you're writing Deadpool—two street-level characters with opposite personalities—the math works itself out.”
Catzye Take
This crossover is pure fan service, pairing two of Marvel's most popular anti-heroes. What's really interesting is Percy's promise of a villain "glow-up" and the "Merc-mobile." Fans should keep an eye on how these wild new elements impact the Marvel universe.
