Evercade Announces Visco Arcade Collections, But You'll Wait Until 2026

Evercade fans just got a huge — if distant — announcement: Blaze Entertainment is bringing two Visco arcade collections to the platform, but you'll have to wait until August 2026 for their release. Evercade, known for its physical retro game cartridges, is tapping into the cult classic library of Visco, a developer celebrated for its distinct arcade offerings.
What's less exciting is the decision to split these into two separate cartridges. Some fans will surely wonder why all these treasures couldn't be bundled, suggesting a familiar monetization strategy. Both collections arrive on August 28, 2026.
Visco Arcade 1 packs eight titles, including the original Drift Out racer and the renowned shoot 'em up Andro Dunos. Visco Arcade 2 features two more Drift Out entries, plus fan-favorite fighting game Breaker's, the intense sports action of Battle Flip Shot and Bang Bead, cartoon mayhem in Captain Tomaday and Bang Bang Busters, and the hack-and-slash Ganryu.
“Fans face a surprising wait until August 2026 for these physical cartridges to hit the Evercade platform.”
Catzye Take
This announcement has us scratching our heads a bit. A two-year lead time for a collection of retro games is unusual, and splitting the Visco library across two cartridges raises eyebrows. We're eager to see the full game lists, but hopefully, this isn't a trend for future Evercade releases.
