Heavily Armed High School Girls Anime Announced for a Distant 2027 Release

Mark your calendars, Catzye crew: neco's popular figure franchise Heavily Armed High School Girls is finally getting a TV anime adaptation. But don't hold your breath just yet. The series won't premiere until a distant 2027.
Figure giants Good Smile Company announced the project, putting their own Good Smile Film studio at the helm. This studio previously delivered visually striking hits like SSSS.GRIDMAN and Pop Team Epic alongside industry heavyweights. Masaki Tachibana, known for directing the slick action of Princess Principal, takes the director's chair, with Natsuko Takahashi (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0) handling series composition. Character designs come from Shogo Shimizu, while Masaru Yokoyama (Fruits Basket, Horimiya) composes the music. Fans of intricate mecha, stylish action, and character-driven design, rejoice – this adaptation from a figure-first IP is definitely one to watch.
