Image Comics Locks Down Direct UK/EU Distribution with Independent Diamond UK

Image Comics just locked down a crucial three-year direct distribution deal with the now-independent Diamond UK. This agreement secures supply for the UK, Europe, and other international territories until 2029.
This is a significant move, especially after the market chaos caused by Diamond US's Chapter 11 bankruptcy in early 2025. Previously, Image's overseas distribution ran through Diamond US. When that system crumbled, Diamond UK, now its own entity after a management buyout, temporarily used Lunar Distribution to keep comics flowing.
This new agreement cuts out the middleman, establishing a direct trading relationship for all markets outside of Lunar, beginning August 1, 2026. "We were determined to maintain supply," stated Mike Holman, General Manager/Director at Diamond UK. He noted the "extremely difficult situation" publishers faced. This direct deal is expected to restore their team's working efficiency to pre-2025 levels.
“This new direct deal offers much-needed stability to comic shops and fans across the UK and EU, solidifying supply after past market turbulence.”
