MAPPA Unveils Beat & Motion Anime, Netflix Exclusive Set for 2027

MAPPA dropped a huge surprise at its 15th Anniversary Event: Naoki Fujita's Beat & Motion manga will get an anime adaptation. There's a catch, though. It's slated as a global Netflix exclusive, not arriving until 2027. That's a serious wait for fans! Yuki Komada (Rurouni Kenshin 2023) directs, with music by the acclaimed Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man). Shuuichirou Umeda and Aya Gomazuru will voice the lead characters, Tatsuhiko Hirayama and Nico Kashiwagi.

Catzye Take
The 2027 release date is quite a ways off, suggesting MAPPA is taking its time, potentially signaling a highly polished production. This also reinforces Netflix's ongoing strategy of securing major anime exclusives. Fans should definitely keep an eye on this one as more details emerge.
