Popular BL Manhwa Here U Are Scores TV Anime, Set for 2026

Hold onto your hearts, BL fans! D Jun's incredibly popular manhwa, Here U Are, is finally getting a TV anime adaptation, and it's set to premiere in 2026. Crunchyroll dropped the bombshell at their Anime Expo 2026 showcase, thrilling devotees of the sweet university romance.
Here U Are, beloved for its charming slice-of-life story between shy graphic design major Yu Yang and the seemingly aloof photography major Li Huan, garnered over 200 million views on Webtoon. This adaptation is a huge win for BL fans, cementing the genre's growing presence in the anime landscape.
The production boasts a capable team. Tomoe Makino, known for her work on wholesome series like Aharen-san wa Hakarenai, will direct. Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) handles series composition, ensuring the beloved narrative structure translates well. Character designs come from Nao Kozaki (The Duke of Death and His Maid). Children's Playground Entertainment, who delivered the tender romance of Tsuki ga Kirei, is helming the animation. This studio choice bodes well for a sensitive, well-animated adaptation.
