Soulframe Unleashes Dark Gameplay, Warframe Invades Fortnite at TennoCon 2026
TennoCon 2026 dropped major news for Digital Extremes' titles, but it was the long-awaited Soulframe gameplay demo that truly stole the show. The fantasy action RPG, a spiritual successor to Warframe, finally showed off its evolving world, teasing a "corrupted player progression path" that sounds deliciously dark. Fans also cheered for the debut of a fishing mini-game and, perhaps most anticipated, a full mount system. Voice acting heavyweights Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI) and Jennifer English (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33) were also confirmed, adding serious talent to the cast.
Warframe wasn't left behind. The surreal sci-fi universe is breaking new ground with a major Fortnite crossover, bringing an exclusive Excalibur skin for players who purchase eligible items on the Epic Games Store. Even the in-game boyband On-lyne, from the upcoming Warframe: 1999, made waves with their track "Party Of Your Lifetime" hitting Fortnite Festival.
Looking ahead, the Fall update "Iceblade of Narin" promises the 66th Warframe, an ice-themed female warrior, plus a Banshee rework and deluxe skin for Qorvex. Citrine Prime, a stunning Orokin-era Prime Warframe, also makes her grand debut. Digital Extremes continues its global tour, promising more details in a September Devstream from Seoul. It's a busy year for Tenno, old and new.
