Tartakovsky Unleashes Conan: Animation Legend's Dream Project Greenlit by Prime Video

It's happening. Animation legend Genndy Tartakovsky is finally tackling Conan the Barbarian. This isn't just news; it's a dream come true for fans and Tartakovsky himself, who first pitched the idea back in 2008.
Prime Video and Cartoon Network Studios announced the series at Annecy. The creator of Primal and Samurai Jack is the perfect choice for Robert E. Howard’s iconic warrior. The premise promises classic Tartakovsky grit: Conan defies gods and fate to save his love, the pirate queen Bêlit, from dark sorcery.
Don’t expect a trailer anytime soon, though. Tartakovsky joked about sharing animatics in 2027 during a pre-taped message. This project is in very early development. The wait will be excruciating, but a Conan helmed by this animation maestro? It promises to be epic.

Catzye Take
This project has "instant classic" written all over it. Tartakovsky's track record with intense, character-driven action is unparalleled. Fans will need patience, but a Tartakovsky-helmed Conan promises to be a brutal, beautiful ride.
