The Kingdoms of Ruin Manga Ends After Seven Years, Just Months After Anime Adaptation

yoruhashi's dark fantasy manga, The Kingdoms of Ruin (Hametsu no Oukoku), concludes its nearly seven-year run this summer. The 15th and final volume drops July 9, with its last chapter publishing online July 14. This finale follows a 2023 anime adaptation from Yokohama Animation Lab, which exposed the brutal fantasy world to a wider audience. Western fans can still collect the manga, with Seven Seas Entertainment's 13th volume arriving in October.

Catzye Take
What's interesting here is the timing: the manga wraps up right after its anime adaptation. This could mean the anime covered most of the story, or it might leave anime-only fans wanting more. Either way, it's a fitting capstone to a long-running series.
