Alien RPG Drops Major Expansion, But You'll Wait Until 2026

Free League Publishing just dropped a bombshell for Alien: The Roleplaying Game fans, announcing a brand-new cinematic expansion alongside major updates for the Evolved Edition. The catch? Most of these terrifying new additions won't drop until late 2026, forcing fans into a prolonged cryosleep of anticipation.
Leading the charge is 'Operation Leading Edge,' a standalone cinematic adventure designed to plunge a squad of Colonial Marines into a nightmare on the remote moon Jeremiah VI. This mission also marks the second installment in the unfolding Jeremiah Saga trilogy. To enhance the experience, a new miniatures set will unleash 20 high-quality figures, complete with simplified skirmish combat rules – a significant shift for a game often focused on psychological horror.
But the future isn't just about new scares. Fan-favorite modules are also getting the Evolved Edition treatment. The iconic Colonial Marines Operations Manual, previously a staple for running open-world campaigns, receives a full update. So do the thrilling deep-space ride 'Chariot of the Angels' and the pioneering 'Building Better Worlds' modules. Even a new dice tray is in the works to keep those stress dice from rolling off the table.

Catzye Take
This is a huge rollout for Alien RPG, signaling Free League's commitment to the Evolved Edition. The wait until 2026 is brutal, but the promise of a new cinematic saga and updated classics should keep players hyped. What's interesting is the clear push towards more tactical combat with the miniatures.
